NACVA, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, is an association of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) who provide business valuation services.

Both Messrs, Michael J. Hannah and Michael A. Smith are holders of the appellation "Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA)"

Certified Valuation Analyst

What is a CVA?
The Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) accreditation provides assurance to the business and legal community that an individual has attained a level of knowledge in business valuations.  This accreditation recognizes special training and experience in business valuations and adherence to the standards established by NACVA.

To become certified by NACVA, the candidate is required to successfully complete an extensive training and testing process.  The qualified applicant must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in their state and be a member of their state's Society of Certified Public Accountants. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) is required annually in areas related to business valuation and/or litigation support.

Why is a CVA important?
The CVA designation is added assurance to clients that an individual has attained the level of knowledge and skills required to provide credible business valuation services.
